Park and Recreation Board
The Park and Recreation Board, which consists of seven members, meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at Village Hall.
The Silver Lake Park and Recreation Board was established to maintain and beautify the Village landscape and to create recreational opportunities for the residents of the Village.
The Park and Recreation Board projects are funded via Service Department funds and also through donations.
The majority of the responsibility falls into two areas: the streetscape and the Silver Lake Recreational area, on which is located the maintenance campus, the recreation campus, the Arboretum, and the picnic shelter.
The Park Board maintains the softball field, tennis courts and the basketball court. The tennis courts and basketball court are now lighted for night use. These facilities are available to all Village residents.
