On March 6, 2023, the Council of the Village of Silver Lake passed a resolution declaring March 2023 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in the Village. Lisa Kamlowsky, the Superintendent of the Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board, was present at the meeting and thanked Council and the Administration for their support and recognition.
