The Silver Lake Historical Society will be kicking off 2020 with a program on Thursday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall. The presentation will be given by Joseph Huber, who will discuss the history of Akron’s military airships. Mr. Huber was the program director of the development of the last large Akron military airship, which was twice the size of the Goodyear Blimp. The SLHS, under the direction of program chair, Laura Lind, is known for presenting many interesting, informative and entertaining programs; this one promises to add to that already impressive list of programs. Also, on January 23, you will have the opportunity to join the SLHS. Dues are $20 per year per family. How great it would be if every Silver Lake family joined the SLHS. Doing so is one way you can help the SLHS preserve the history of Silver Lake. Hope the see you on the 23rd.
