Please be careful what you put into our sewer system. A recent back-up was caused by rags that had been put into the sewer. Rags, any type of clothing, diapers, sanitary napkins, disinfectant wipes and baby wipes should never be flushed into the system. Also, please be sure that your laterals are free flowing, not blocked. What you put in your sewer may or may not cause only you a problem, but can also cause back-ups to a neighbor’s system. Tree roots can also block your laterals. Most drain companies will snake your drains for a cost between $150 and $200. Please use care and good judgement; help keep our sewers free-flowing.
