Please be patient as our service department works on clearing snow from our streets. At most, we have only 3 snow removal trucks working in the Village. Given our limited resources, we are quite proud of the fact that our streets are usually cleared much faster than neighboring communities. Yesterday one of our trucks got stuck in the snow, so only 2 were in operation. I understand that everyone wants their street cleared of snow as soon as possible, but we can only do what we can do. The service department has a schedule of when to do what streets. They need to stick to their schedule, and cannot honor individual requests. The amount of snow we received Sunday night through Monday morning was enormous; this clearly made their jobs even more difficult. As to snow left on driveway aprons, the service department has no choice as they clear the streets. They cannot stop to clear every driveway apron in the Village; this is something we all have to do ourselves. Sometimes large amounts of snow are left at intersections, making it difficult to negotiate entrance from one street to another, but they try to at least leave an opening. Again, please be patient. Understand that they have a big job to do, and they do it to the best of their ability as fast as they can.
Patience, please, with snow removal
