Now that leaf pick-up has begun, here are a few friendly reminders:

-When raking leaves, please don’t let them spill onto the street (notify your lawn care contractor).

-Wet leaves on paved surfaces cause dangerous, slippery conditions for driving, bicycling and walking.

-Leaves washed into and through the storm sewers end up in one of our lakes or the river, contributing to our water quality (algae) problems as well as causing possible flooding problems when the drains are clogged.

Thank you for helping to keep our Village healthy and safe!
