Working with the cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls, Stow, the Peter Maurin Center and the Knights of Columbus, Silver Lake is once again this year participating in the campaign to help the homeless. The theme this year is “No One Should Sleep Out In The Cold”. We will accept your donations now through December 16 at Village Hall. Check our website for items that are being requested. The list includes new and gently used items – boots (men’s 10-12, women’s all sizes), hoodies (men’s zipper L, XL), flashlights and batteries, backpacks size 40L, hand warmers, large athletic socks, brown jersey or thermal gloves, men’s boxer briefs, women’s cotton briefs underwear, meal cards )McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, etc.), One Day Akron Metro Bus Passes, and, of course, money (Pay Pal, reach out to knightsofcolumbus2362@gmail.com). Items can be dropped off any weekday between 8am and 4:30pm at Village Hall. We will also hold a drive thru campaign at Village Hall on Saturday, December 3 from 10am until 2pm.
