With snow covered sidewalks in many parts of the Village, some residents have resorted to use the streets instead of sidewalks when taking walks or jogs throughout the Village. Sidewalks are expected to be used at all times. While there is danger of slipping and falling when there is snow or ice on a sidewalk, the danger of being hit by a car is far greater. Please use care and caution on your pedestrian jaunts. The danger increases greatly if you walk at night wearing dark clothes. Sometimes cars just cannot see you. Again, use care and caution; wear lighter or reflective clothing if you walk when it’s dark outside..
