The Village of Silver Lake purchases its water from the City of Cuyahoga Falls. The Village maintains its own water and sewer systems. The Utility Department is responsible for billing, collection, and customer service for water and sewer service. New residents need to make application for utility service. A link to the application can be found at the bottom of this page.

Water and Sewer Rates
Water and sewer rates are established by Village Council. The current monthly water rate is $3.81 per 100 cubic feet of water used plus a monthly fixed base water charge of $11.44. The current monthly sewer rate is $5.56 per 100 cubic feet of water used plus a monthly fixed base sewer charge of $30.93. The current monthly storm water utility rate is $8.00.

Electric Aggregation Program
The Village of Silver Lake has selected FirstEnergy Solutions to serve the next term of the Village’s electric aggregation program. The Village has set a fixed rate of 5.21 cents/kWh for electricity generation for a 3-year term starting with April 2018 meter reads. To learn more call 866-636-3749.

Gas Aggregation Program
The Village of Silver Lake has established a fixed rate for natural gas with Constellation Energy for members of the Village’s aggregation program. The program is a one-year program that offers a fixed rate of $3.183 per Mcf for the term of April 2019 through March 2020 billing cycles. The Village of Silver Lake is contracted with the Kimble Company for trash & recycling collection. To setup service or change your current service contact Kimble at 1.800.201.0005. For a complete list of recyclable items visit: www.kimblecompanies.com.

Special Collection – services includes bulk/ large items collected the first Friday of each month.
Senior Services – to obtain senior service, resident must be 65 years or older. A copy of your driver’s license will be required to verify age and residency. Senior rates are also available to residents with disabilities.
Setback Services – Collection for yard waste and bulk items must be set at the curb for collection.
Recycle Services – As part of the enhanced recycling service effective April 1, 2019, Kimble will provide a 65 gallon recycling cart, included in the service rates listed above, at no additional cost. Residents may also continue using the Kimble supplied 18 gallon recycling bin instead of the cart.
If any of these holidays fall on a weekday, trash collection will be moved to Saturday:
Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day
